Advancing a world where all genders are welcome.

TransClue is a trans-owned coaching, training, and consulting company.
The world is undergoing a seismic cultural shift when it comes to gender identity. Where we once viewed gender in black and white, new generations are painting it in technicolor.
of Californians age 12-17 identify as androgynous or gender nonconforming
of Millennials identify as gender non-conforming or transgender (twice the number for Gen Y).
of Gen Z’ers know someone who uses gender-neutral pronouns such as they/them

I’m a 61-year-old trans elder and I welcome the chance to be your guide into a modern understanding of gender.
I launched TransClue in 2020 to meet the growing demand for education that empowers organizations to become more trans-inclusive. Since then, my clients have included the Environmental Protection Agency, the National League of Conservation Voters, and Catholics for Choice. I also provide leadership coaching for social entreprenuers with support from New Profit Foundation.
In 2021, I also developed Leading While Trans – under the sponsorship of Change.org – for trans and nonbinary leaders from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, England, and Germany.
In February 2024, I posted an Instagram reel about teaching Trans 101 to elders that went viral. To meet the needs I learned about through responses to the reel, I am launching Trans 101 for Boomers+. It’s a two-hour, highly-interactive Zoom session where those of us who are older can explore modern notions of gender.
Trans 101 for Boomers+ builds upon my passion for building intergenerational connections including recent interviews with trans elders — published in Condé Nast’s Them — which have been nominated for a 2024 GLAAD award.
Before launching Transclue, I served as chief engagement officer of SAGE, a national nonprofit advocating for LGBTQ+ elders. I am very proud of SAGETable, an initiative I led which was supported by AARP, in which thousands of LGBTQ+ people met to build connections across generations.
As a grantmaker at the Chicago Community Trust, I oversaw a 10-year, $30 million initiative to strengthen support for families in seven Chicago communities. I taught nonprofit management at DePaul University, founded a social media company that served nonprofits and foundations, and launched and later sold dapperQ.com which uses fashion to build solidarity across queer communities.
I am a budding woodworker building wooden urns — and what I call “yurns” – that support major life and death moments. (Coming soon.)
